PRESS RELEASE: Kids Youtube Group Bounce Patrol Hits Record 10 Million Subscribers, Only The Fifth Australian Channel To Do So, And Celebrates With New Album Release

They’re the kids music group famous the world over – and most Aussies have never heard of them.

Melbourne-based YouTubers Bounce Patrol , who make catchy, fun and educational music for children, are flying high after recently hitting the coveted 10 million subscriber mark, making them only the fifth Australian YouTube channel in history to reach this milestone, and the first kids music creators. Bounce Patrol adds this achievement to another recent high-performing
statistic, after celebrating an eye-watering 5 billion video views across their channel in July, catapulting them to hold the current title of the second most all-time video views of any Australian YouTuber.

Using the power of digital, Bounce Patrol tap into a huge global market, amassing millions of fans around the world. Their biggest fan bases exist in USA, Brazil, India and Vietnam. Australian families also love Bounce Patrol, with 40 million views coming from Aussie households in the last year alone. Reaching 235 countries thus far, Bounce Patrol fans can be found in places as far reaching as Liechtenstein and Sierra Leone. As well as publishing videos on YouTube, Bounce Patrol have released three successful albums to date, and are excited to add a fourth album to their collection. Launching on Friday October 11th, “ Dance Party! ” will feature songs designed to get families bopping, bouncing and having lounge room dance parties. The album will be available for download and streaming on all popular music platforms.

Recording a mix of original songs and classic nursery rhymes, Bounce Patrol has firmly cemented themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the exceedingly competitive world of kids YouTube content. Unique from the many animated kids channels, Bounce Patrol’s appeal lies in their five live-action performers, whose friendly faces are instantly recognisable and whom fans have fallen in love with. Over the past 7 years performers Rachel, Jackson, Alyssa,
Will and Jacinta have become huge global stars on YouTube – whilst still maintaining quiet day jobs and going about their lives in Melbourne.

Cast member Jackson Kearney, who fans love for his silly faces and jovial personality, also works behind the scenes as a video producer. “We are just regular people that love performing; we had no idea Bounce Patrol would become what it is today. It’s crazy to think that the videos we make in our modest little studio in Highett are enjoyed by millions of kids around the world,” he says. The brainchild of musical theatre enthusiast and entrepreneur Shannon Jones, Bounce Patrol was formed in 2012 when she saw a gap in the market for educational music that was catchy and modern, performed by real people instead of animation. Recruiting music-minded friends she quickly turned Bounce Patrol into a burgeoning business, learning the digital ropes along the way. Jones says, “When we first started making videos, we filmed on weekends out of my granny flat on a shoe-string budget with a one-person crew. Now we have a purpose-built production studio in Melbourne and a small dedicated team of people who work alongside me.” Bounce Patrol experienced rapid growth in 2018 thanks to the monumental explosion of the “Baby Shark” craze. Bounce Patrol’s cover of the popular nursery rhyme recently passed 1 billion views and is the second-most watched version of the song made famous by PinkFong (a South Korean entertainment company that shot the nursery rhyme to fame with their breakout version).

Proving popular with both kids and ‘big kids’ alike, the team frequently receives messages of thanks from parents across the globe, thrilled to find music that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Bounce Patrol have no plans to slow down, recently launching a dedicated Spanish channel to cater for a growing market of Spanish-speaking fans, and will be launching their show on Amazon Prime’s video streaming service later this year.
