PRESS RELEASE: Narada Michael Walden, producer of Whitney Houston, signs Australian singer Charlie Mitchell

Multiple Grammy Award winning producer Narada Michael Walden, the legendary producer of Whitney Houston, Barbra Streisand, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, George Michael and the list goes on, has signed Gold Coast singer Charlie Mitchell and will produce his first single, entitled “Even After.”

The song, which was written by Brian Evans, who also serves as Executive Producer and also wrote the song.

“The song is meant to bring love and hope to those who may have lost a loved one. Charlie is a prodigy,” says Walden.

Evans, who is a singer himself, discovered the young singer while he was strolling down his own Instagram page.

“Charlie stopped me in my tracks. I was shocked at how good this 15 year old singer is,” says Evans.

Charlie has been performing at numerous events, even on the sidewalk near his home. His website is charliemitchellmusic.com, which is introduced by Narada Michael Walden’s announcement that Mitchell will be his next project.

“I am happy for Charlie, and I am happy that Narada believed in him the way I do, because that’s important. In the over twenty years I’ve known and worked with Narada, Charlie is the first artist I ever brought to his attention. Charlie will make Australia, and indeed the world, very proud,” Evans says.

The single will be released in March, and a music video is already in the works. The young crooner is already working on new material.

“Charlie was born to do it. What he has, you can’t teach, and I’ve heard them all” Evans concludes.
