NUR SAJAT AESTHETICS SDN BHD UNPAID SPONSORSHIP FOR MISS GRAND MALAYSIA 2019

In a landmark decision against Nur Surat Aesthetics Sdn Bhd, a company owned by celebrity entrepreneur widely known as Nur Sajat, (Company No.: 201501022343 (1147672-M), in the Sessions Court of Shah Alam, Malaysia on 8 June 2022, ruled in favor of Introducing Talent Sdn Bhd regarding unpaid sponsorship amounting to RM111,280.50.

In 2019, the company entered a contract with Introducing Talent Sdn Bhd, the license holder and organizer of Miss Grand Malaysia 2019 for a sponsorship amount totaling more than RM70,000 of which only 50% was paid while a promise of another RM30,000 for cosmetic enhancements for winners which was never delivered.

On 20.5.2022, a Case Management (“CM”) was conducted for the above matter in which the court was satisfied that service of the Writ and Statement of Claim to the Defendant had been completed.

Nur Sajat, and Nur Sajat Aesthetics Sdn Bhd were registered as ‘no appearance’ and did not contest the ruling however are yet to make a restoration to the organizers.

The court ruling was based on evidence which demonstrates that Nur Sajat Aesthetics Sdn Bhd not only did not fulfill its duty of paying the full sponsorship amount, including prizes to the winner and runner-ups, but also did not return culturally sensitive items to the organizer when requested to do so.
