As Australia’s largest importer of medicinal cannabis genetics, CEO Tom Varga was asked to discuss the drivers behind importation of these new genetics and the benefits he saw for the industry.

“Established in 2001 in Northern California, Humboldt holds a library of thousands of seeds, genotypes and plants,” said Tom.

“Jelly Donutz is an authentic Runtz genetic. Its genetic make-up is 60% Sativa and 40% Indica. Its flavour profile is that of fairy-floss and caramel. Some people describe the flavour as just like a strawberry milkshake, with a THC content of 30-35%.”

The development of Jelly Donutz involved meticulous pheno-hunting and stabilisation processes to ensure its quality and authenticity.

“Myrcene is also found naturally in the hops used for brewing craft beers, confirming its sedative effects,’ he said, “Typically Blueberry Muffin contains 20-28% THCs”
