ELC Australia signs Memorandum of Understanding with Government of Vietnam

On January 16th 2013 English Language Company Australia(ELC)signed an important Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Education and Training in Vietnam to operate the Teach and Travel Vietnam program (TTV). Under the program ELC will recruit, train and place up to 500 English teachers per year into the public education system throughout Vietnam.

The agreement was witnessed by the Trade Commissioner for Australia in Vietnam, Ms Elodie Journet and the Deputy Minister for Education and Training, Nguyen Vinh Hien who acknowledged the importance of the partnership to increase English proficiency in Vietnamese schools. The event also marked the beginning of activities to commemorate 40 years of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Australia, he noted.

David Scott, Managing Director of ELC Australia commented “This is a large scale project which ELC Australia is proud to have initiated. ELC will provide high quality well trained English teachers as well as on-the-ground training and support for them while they are in Vietnam. We will work closely with the Government of Vietnam to raise the standards of English teaching and learning throughout the public education system.”
