PRESS RELEASE: 2020 NATIONAL PERENTIE AUCTION LAUNCHES – EX-MILITARY VEHICLES GO UNDER THE HAMMER IN WEEK LONG ONLINE EVENT

Australian Frontline Machinery has launched the 2020 National Perentie Auction, offering civilians the chance to own some of the most exclusive and unique Land Rover ‘Perenties’ direct from the Australian Defence Force. With bids starting from $1 no reserve, the week-long online ex-Military auction event hosted from Albury NSW allows interested bidders and online spectators to register for the event and have access to explore the online showroom, featuring the 23 ex-Military vehicles with video inspections, live streaming, vehicle history and condition reports.

These nostalgic camouflaged ’80s and ’90s cult classic Australian Defence Force vehicles were built to Military standards and used by our servicemen to protect our borders and our countries interests. Serviced and maintained by the Australian Defence Force for over 20 years, many of these ‘best of’ 4×4 and 6×6 Land Rover ‘Perentie’ 110 variants come with fresh paint and new canopies.

As border restrictions begin to ease and Australians plan road trips across the country there has been a surge of interest in off road ex-Military vehicles.
With a limited number of ‘Perenties’ left in Australian Defence Force inventory, 2 x Surveillance and Reconnaissance SRV(SF) vehicles have quickly become the prize of the 2020 National Perentie Auction, with only 43 ever built.

The race is now on for many to secure these sort after limited ex-Military Land Rover ‘Perenties’ and original spare parts. With thousands already registered to participate in the auction, it is clear that the value of these vehicles is not just for their historical significance, but there incredible off-road all-terrain capabilities. “We’ve brought to life the physical aspects of the event into a digital environment, giving Australian’s equal opportunity to inspect auction vehicles” said Tara O’Hara, Marketing & Sales Manager, Australian Frontline Machinery.

The hammer will fall on the 2020 National Perentie Auction Wednesday, 11 November with staggered closures until 9:30 pm. Australian Frontline Machinery with there auctioneers PicklesONLINE has launched a marketing campaign Nationally aimed at both metropolitan and regional markets to provide all Australians with the opportunity to own a piece of Australian Military history.
