50.000 Covid-19 Marshal trained and certified in 3.5 days

SA Health engaged Occupational Hygiene specialists Health Safety Environment Australia (HSE Australia) to develop the Covid-19 Marshal Certification training for South Australia.
Summary:
From Friday, 21st of August, businesses have to nominate at least one employee to become certified as their Covid19 Marshal if they operate in industries such as hospitality, retail, supermarkets, hardware shops, gyms and sports clubs, as well as social and community clubs.
To help businesses and organisations to become compliant with the new regulations SA Health engaged
HSE Australia to develop the free Covid19 Marshal Certification training that is now accessible online on https://marshal.clickontraining.com.au/.

“This is a great example of how the South Australian Government quickly reacts and connects South Australian businesses to help the South Australian economy in these unusual covid aware times” says Managing Director of HSE Australia, Rodney Fox.
“After we developed the Covid19 Awareness Training for Tourism SA in July, we were asked by SA Health if HSE would be able to help to develop the online training for Covid19 Marshals.
Through the connections, we established working with Tourism SA and with the support of SA Health, we were able to deliver a complete online certification course in 48 hrs. Today, already over 50.000 people have taken the course and been certified. This is a great example of how South Australians are helping South Australia, and we have the expertise right here to make it happen.
“It’s not rocket science, people that undertake the free online course will have a better understanding of what we need to do and I would encourage everyone to take it. Let’s work together to keep this disease at bay” adds Rodney. Fox.
