PRESS RELEASE: Changing their name, not their roots

SYDNEY, 7 July 2022 – Landscape designer, Sticks and Stones, is changing its company name to Nelson Thomas.
The business was originally born out of its founders’ passion to create awe-inspiring gardens that are made for life and that grow over time. “We were both passionate about design and horticulture,” said co-founder, Fiona Nelson. “We wanted to work together, and the business just grew organically from there.”
Now, after more than ten years of growth, with projects of increasing scope and complexity, the business is marking their evolution with a change in company name.
“Before we were known as Fiona Ericsson and Julia Levitt – we were Fiona Nelson and Julia Thomas,” explained co-founder Julia Levitt, “So, Nelson Thomas is a nod to that partnership and the passion that started it all.”
Over the years, the business has expanded its team and professional ecosystem and Fiona and Julia have collaborated with some of Australia’s leading architects and interior designers to bring clients’ dreams to life.
As much as their business is about design excellence and beautiful gardens, the future of Nelson Thomas is also about a passion that, like the company’s work, is timeless.
