Sydney, Australia, 7 July 2020 – Elevate your Chinese dining experience with Chefs Gallery’s new selection of freshly caught and cooked seafood, available exclusively through Uber Eats.
This launch is the result of a focus group study which revealed not everyone has the time or interest to prepare live seafood by themselves. Traditionally, customers will have to visit the fish market or restaurant, weigh their seafood and purchase them based on the day’s market price. At home, one would need to be equipped with the right tools and skills to clean out crabs or descale fish properly.
“We recognize that it can be daunting to prepare live seafood, but this hassle should not deter anyone from enjoying such delicacy from the comfort of their homes,” said owner of Chefs Gallery Group, Kaisern Ching.
“By simplifying this process for seafood lovers, placing an order for live seafood can be as easy as ordering a fast food meal. Once we accept a live seafood order, we send our chefs out to select the freshest live seafood in the market, bring it back to our kitchen and prepare it with care. All a customer has to do, is to schedule their order at least one day in advance. We will then be able to time and have the dishes freshly cooked and delivered to customers through the Uber Eats delivery platform’s strong delivery fleet. It is intuitive to partner with Uber Eats as we have confidence in their user-friendly application and reliable delivery partners. ”
Chefs Gallery will introduce a fixed pricing model with the aim of eliminating price uncertainty due to the difference between the seafood weight and the market price. This is unlike the usual practice of Chinese restaurants pricing their dishes based on the exact weight of the live seafood. As the seafood is freshly selected by Chefs Gallery chefs each morning, there is a one-day advance order condition tagged to each order which is essential to ensure quality and freshness.

Starting today, customers can search ‘Chefs Gallery Premium Edition’ on the Uber Eats website or app to access the new range of premium products. Chefs Gallery Premium Edition is currently serving customers within a delivery range of the Town Hall. The delivery range will be expanded to cover Macquarie and Parramatta areas in the coming weeks. Self-collection is also available.
For a limited time only, customers can get $10 off their orders as part of an introductory offer. Acknowledgement of seafood pre-order is immediate. Final confirmation from Chefs Gallery will be sent out by 7pm the day before the desired delivery date and time.
