PRESS RELEASE: Exclusive National Security Investment Fund

Boutique fund manager Arawa Capital has launched a unique $40 million investment fund to buy out or take control positions in cyber security, defence and national security related businesses seeking growth capital.
Graham Cox, founder, and head of investment firm Arawa Capital is leading the National Security Investment Fund’s capital raise and investments into the sector.
Providing leadership, guidance and unrivalled knowledge of the national security landscape is former Australian Defence Minister and Minister for Defence Industry, the Hon. Christopher Pyne. Pyne oversaw a $200 billion build-up of Australia’s military capability, being the largest capital commitment ever during peace-time. Pyne will chair the fund’s advisory board and investment committee.
Arawa is targeting sophisticated investors, high-net-worth individuals, and family offices for investment in the fund, which is aiming to reward investors with 12% pa returns. Arawa is also offering a moratorium on management fees for the first 12 months after the fund reaches initial close.
Cox anticipates closing out the capital raising within the next few weeks based on the large amount of registrations received to date. “Investors see this sector as hard to access, yet are eager to take a position as it is highly protected from market volatility due to the large amounts of annual government spend and the tidal wave of demand and investment being made by government agencies and businesses in cyber security and related services” says Cox.
The fund will aim to invest in three to four companies over the next 12 to 24 months, made up of cyber security and other national security related SME’s and will look to export these world class services throughout the ‘Five Eyes’ intelligence-sharing nations.
Expect to see additional funds brought to market by Cox and Arawa Capital as the demand and opportunity swells. Investor registration for the inaugural fund can be found via the Arawa Capital website – www.arawa.com.au.
