PRESS RELEASE: Firefighters from the Australian Firefighters Calendar launch fitness app
Fire Calendar Fit Australia is to release a new series of fitness training programs developed and used by the firefighters of the Australian Firefighters Calendar.
Cameron Simpson from Fire Calendar Fit Australia said: “We are extremely excited to launch our new fitness training programs, and are eager to see the warm reception these programs will receive from the public – both fitness novices and fanatics alike.” Cameron also indicated that there will be more exciting programs to come in the near future to help customers develop their fitness and achieve their fitness goals. Proceeds from the fitness program will help support Australian charities, Starlight Children’s Foundation and Black Dog Institute, continuing with the Australian Firefighters Calendar’s charitable work.
Fire Calendar Fit Australia was established in 2019 by firefighters Aaron Ficheroux, Ben Wallace, Cameron Simpson and Noel Le Guen. Brenden Purvis, Mitchell Evans and Richard McCluskey recently joined the team, of which all appear or have previously appeared in the globally recognised firefighters calendar. All members of the team are full-time airport, military or urban firefighters, with over a decade of combined experience as a part of the calendar, whether it be as months throughout the year, or else featuring on the front cover of the calendar. Fire Calendar Fit Australia have been a foundation of fitness in the firefighting profession and through their personal fitness programs, they intend to share what they have learnt through their illustrious careers.
Initial prospects and plans for the Fire Calendar Fit Australia programs include a choice between two distinguished options: ‘Scorcher’ and ‘Inferno’. ‘Scorcher’ is an 8-week weight loss and general fitness program that was created with a target audience of those with only a basic level of fitness, and intend to lose weight through an intensive regime of exercise over a relatively short period. ‘Inferno’, on the other hand, is a 12-week program that was designed by our professionals to attract those with a prior interest in exercise and that want to build muscle mass and gain strength.
Both programs have been optimised to work with both male and female clients; each of the aforementioned firefighters is involved in this process and each made significant fitness gains since they began. Furthermore, founder Noel Le Guen, who holds certificates III and IV in fitness and is a level 1 athletics coach, and has coached a number of both male and female bodybuilding world champions, has approved both of the regimes. There is a possibility of more programs in the future, meaning that further fitness developments could become more tailored towards each individual customer.
Fire Calendar Fit Australia’s platform is integrated with My PT Hub, which is a user-friendly program that allows clients to track their workouts and nutrition. This can either be done through a web browser or through an application that becomes available to customers following sign-up, and means that everyone on one of Fire Calendar Fit Australia’s fitness programs can accurately track their progress. Additionally, each and every exercise has a detailed video tutorial by one of the firefighters, ensuring that every customer’s form is just right. Alongside the online information, customers will be given PDF copies of the ‘Inferno’ or ‘Scorcher’ regimes, with an accompanying ‘Healthy Eating Guide’. Fitness is often a balance between exercise and nutrition; with Fire Calendar Fit Australia’s fitness regimes, both of the two aspects are regarded in equal measure.
The team at Fire Calendar Fit Australia are excited to explore further prospects following the inevitable success of the ‘Scorcher’ and ‘Inferno’ programs, and are eager to raise proceeds for their chosen charities both in the present and future ventures.
