PRESS RELEASE: Letterbox Deals set to relaunch in Sydney market

Letterbox Media today confirmed that iconic advertising catalogue Letterbox Deals will be back in Sydney letterboxes mid-August in a bid to boost sales of the business advertisers within.

Letterbox Media was forced to temporarily suspend print campaigns for Letterbox Deals and the Yellow Envelope during the pandemic, citing heightened fear among the business community. However MD, Jamie Bakewell, says that the team has since been flooded with requests to get back into print production as soon as possible and again generate sales for the loyal advertiser base.

“There was a real sense of fear back in March. We decided at the last minute not to go to print that month and add what could have been an unnecessary financial burden onto our advertisers. Since then we have been working with our clients with a view to relaunching the catalogue as we know it has an important impact on their sales. In fact, we have been inundated with enquiry given the decline of so many local newspapers and even asked to launch into new areas across the country”.

Bakewell believes the catalogue is a great bell-weather for the economy as clients are predominantly SME’s, including trades. He thinks business owners are positive about a quick recovery. “Our advertising clients are concerned about generating domestic demand so events happening in the US and beyond represent little impediment to just getting on with it. Our catalogue is the perfect media for these times as we are delivered direct to homes – exactly where everyone is spending a lot of time”.

Letterbox Media exclusively uses Australia Post for reliability and accuracy to deliver catalogues into approximately 500,000 homes across the Sydney Metro region and solus advertising material, such as flyers, nationally. It has been running since 2009 in Sydney and services hundreds of clients ranging from small trades businesses to multinationals.
