PRESS RELEASE: Luksea To Help Save More Lives With Innovative Device

The way people get help in the water is set to be enhanced, with Luksea’s revolutionary new Wearable Safety Device, set to launch with a crowdfunding campaign in the New Year.

Nicole McMahon, Founder & CEO of the Sydney based start-up is appealing to the community for their support and invites everyone to follow their journey by liking their ReadyFundGo page.

Notable supporters include Surf Life Saving Australia, NSW Government, UNSW, Neil Rogers, Alaska Guide, Evans Fishing Tackle, Bushcare Woollahra and Woollahra Municipal Council.

Luksea’s goal is to generate enough pre-orders and support to produce the first edition of the device. Now that they have a prototype, the next step is to get the wearable safety device into the marketplace.

Ms McMahon says “We’re grateful for the support we’ve received so far. It’s great to see the entire community rallying behind us to make Luksea a reality and help people in the water”.

Luksea’s campaign page is currently in preview mode. To show Luksea your support hit the “Follow Now” button on their page: https://readyfundgo.com/project/luksea/

Designed for ocean lovers and adventure seekers, the Luksea Wearable works with a smartphone app that connects to family, friends and first responders. When wearing the waterproof device, you can alert your contacts and emergency services at the push of a button.

In Australia every hour surf lifesavers conduct 451 preventative actions. A report by Royal Life Saving Society Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia shows that 276 people lost their life to drowning in Australia from July 2018 to June 2019.

Luksea will provide an additional way to alert lifeguards and nominated emergency contacts to get help faster in the water. Please remember, swim between the red and yellow flags and raise your hand if you need help.
