PRESS RELEASE: Podcasts in 2021: Deciphering fact from fiction
With many of us working from home during the pandemic, it seems every second industry professional has launched a podcast. But with the market saturated, how can listeners looking to up-skill decipher fact from fiction? What advice is valuable, and what isn’t?
This is what propelled Tammy Paola to create The Marketer Podcast. Unlike the majority of marketing podcasts, the industry specialist wants the fortnightly series to take it back to “the real field of marketing”.
“Growing Instagram followings and developing design skills are of course important for marketing professionals, but episodes focussing on this are often generic and face-value. Marketing is an ever-changing field, and there is far more to it than what many professionals realise.
“To be a successful marketing specialist, you need to dig deeper. For example, consumer buying behaviour and psychology, decision science, market trends, brand equity building and strategy formulation.”
Tammy’s experience in marketing spans over 20 years, holding senior roles in high-profile listed corporates and start-ups.
With a number of qualifications under her belt, and having developed and sold her own marketing technology solution back in 2015, Tammy’s next mission is to create a community for marketing specialists and entrepreneurs.
“I launched the The Marketer Podcast to create a place where marketing professionals can go to gain quality information, knowledge and grow.
“My genuine hope is that marketers will find this podcast useful, that they will listen to it and learn from it and take away some ideas that they can use.”
