PRESS RELEASE
VISIBILITY, TRANSPARENCY, GOVERNANCE AND OVERSIGHT ARE BEING LEFT BEHIND.
WHAT’S THE SOLUTION?
For Immediate Release
With the rise of new ways of working in today’s business environment, and whilst many Agile transitioning or transitioned organisations would argue otherwise, visibility, transparency, governance and oversight are all being left behind. Resolving complex problems requires both continuous collaboration across internal silos and interaction with customers. Organisations (and people alike) need to have the ability to efficiently adapt depending on the situation at hand. Whilst this may not be too concerning to those in the depths of project delivery, it certainly is an issue that supports a growing organisational disconnect. This also introduces many risks, and the inherent loss of ability to judge value.
Australian consulting firm, Agile Management Office (AMO) is a boutique firm that specialises in personalised governance, delivery and change solutions for medium to large businesses. With a team from a wide variety of industry backgrounds, they provide a flexible agile approach, agnostic of industry with their unique AMO Method, delivering solutions that fit each client’s specific needs.
Pioneered by AMO’s President Fatimah Abbouchi, successful businesswoman, mental health advocate and a governance thought leader whose professional passion and experience has seen her successfully transform how businesses govern change and delivery across portfolios up to $1B and across 16 industries and countries globally.
“The AMO Method is a tried and true approach to achieving objectives efficiently and effectively in a real-world environment. However, AMO goes beyond working within the organisation”, says Abbouchi.
Agile Management Office (AMO) is launching a selective work-study programme, Project Empire, in conjunction with the Department of Global Studies at Aarhus University, Denmark. Three years in the making, the programme will be open to 25 Masters of International Studies students, who will be based in Denmark during the programme. The beauty of this programme participants will get handson learning opportunities in working with an AMO client.
“They will also get real-world experience in AMO’s unique governance and project management model, the AMO Method, a flexible framework that helps you to coordinate governance and change then implement it.”, says Abbouchi.
AMO is currently operating in various ASX100 companies including the Coles Group who have implemented Agile Management Office in the last 12 months.
“The work delivered by the AMO team will put is in a great position to execute efficiently as we move toward our vision of a world class payments services business.” – Shane Harris, Head of Payments Services, Coles Group.
AMO will be releasing a White Paper series shortly about the top pain points in businesses today around governance, the research supporting the problems identified and the solution.
Extract from the White Paper Series: “The purpose of this White Paper is to delve deeper into existing problems with the traditional approach to organisational governance, which often involves establishing a Project Management Office (PMO). It aims to identify the challenges and issues surrounding the PMO and to address the lag between the PMO and Project Management practices across an organisation. Such that gaps can be swiftly closed, creating a model that iterates and evolves with Project Management driving greater efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation. Smart organisations understand that proven project management practices lead to greater success and less waste. Likewise, better facilitation of governance can do the same.”
