Softwatch Delivers Remote Workforce Productivity Monitoring Solution while Maintaining Employee Privacy
Softwatch gives companies an application usage analysis tool to understand and support a work-from-home AND return-to-office workforce during the pandemic and beyond.
TEL AVIV, ISRAEL / July 20, 2020 / Managing a remote workforce has become a critical skill for managers during the COVID-19 pandemic. New data reveals that Australians should brace themselves for a year of working from home as government restrictions are to last for another four to six months. It has now, more than ever, become imperative for management to understand how remote workers are performing their jobs whilst, at the same time, respecting their privacy.
Former Sydneysider now based offshore with Softwatch, Lea Gilovitz, felt that with “leading companies like CBA already offering all of their contact centre staff to work remotely on a permanent basis, indicates that work from home is here to stay. In fact, we are going to see people having a dual work and home environment. And with the Victorian government looking at maintaining or possibly increasing restrictions, the Remote Productivity Monitoring (RPM) solution will play a very important role addressing the challenges of providing insights regarding productivity, especially as companies prepare for this next crisis and beyond – whether that is by adopting chrome devices, moving applications to the cloud or IT cost optimization.”
With at least 48% of employees potentially working from home in the future, according to a Gartner Group analysis, Managers will now become the O.H.S. champions and will be constantly checking in with their team to deal with any issues (relating to stress, anxiety and exhaustion). “We are looking to help organizations gather important data yet establish a culture of trust by focusing only on defined enterprise productivity applications determined by the employer,” says Dror Leshem CEO of Softwatch.
Many companies are using ‘tattleware’ or mandating always-on webcam rules and require multiple daily check-ins to track employee work hours, but with Softwatch’s RPM solution, managers have visibility into their workers’ productivity by analysing the time spent on enterprise and business-critical applications, measured on a daily basis.
Softwatch RPM does not review everything an employee does throughout the day. Instead, it collects and analyses the time workers spend on a pre-selected collection of relevant enterprise applications so managers can monitor usage and obtain initial insights on potential rightsizing opportunities for such applications as well as reducing OPEX expenditure.
According to another Gartner report, 74% of CFOs plan to increase remote work rather than having everyone return to an office and so need a SaaS solution that works with offline, online and hybrid applications. The software comes pre-configured to monitor the most frequently used enterprise applications and can also be customised to meet the needs of an organisation (for example Salesforce, home developed applications, SAP, etc.).
Pre-configured applications include:
● Productivity suites (G Suite, MS Office, Microsoft 365)
● Online conferencing
● Cloud Storage
Softwatch’s RPM solution provides the flexibility for management to change the initial applications’ configuration, selecting or deselecting the applications that are most important.
