SPINIFEX PROTECT HAND SANITISER – TOURISM COUNCIL WA CORPORATE PARTNERSHIP – DOMESTIC TOURISM MARKETING SUPPORT PROGRAM (Western Australia)
15th May 2020
SPINIFEX PROTECT, a joint venture between Limestone Coast Brewing and SPINIFEX BREWING CO – Australia’s first majority Aboriginal-owned craft brewery turned major supplier of High Grade Hand Sanitiser – is pleased to announce a new Corporate Partnership with the WA tourism industry representative body Tourism Council WA.
In response to the State Government announcement on Sunday 10th May 2020 and the subsequent easing of restrictions in the hospitality and tourism industry, SPINIFEX PROTECT is stepping up to the plate and providing a significant discount to these severely affected businesses as well as rebate proposal that can potentially significantly bolster the industry body.
Adam Barnard, Director SPINIFEX PROTECT PTY LTD and former Managing Director of ADAMS Group, Western Australia’s largest tourism transport company, explains.
“It is with great pleasure we announce today this partnership with TCWA. During the past few weeks, I have witnessed the severe distress of my tourism colleagues due to the impact of COVID-19 and the restrictions placed on them by the lockdowns. Having such a personal connection to the industry for almost 20 years, the announcement today will go some way to assisting in the long road ahead to recovery,” Mr Barnard said
“The corporate partnership we are announcing today will see a 25% discount code provided to WA tourism and hospitality operators on all Hand Sanitising needs, which will become an integral part of life as we move forward to a new normal. In addition to the discount, for every litre of Hand Sanitiser sold through the partnership, SPINIFEX PROTECT will donate $1.00 to a TCWA domestic marketing fund to be used to encourage local holidays via the recently launched Holiday in WA campaign.
“As part of the domestic marketing funding, 10 cents from every dollar will be targeted specifically to Aboriginal tourism businesses in Western Australia in recognition of the significant traction made in recent years and the setback COVID-19 has unleased on the industry,” he said.
Tourism Council WA CEO Evan Hall said he welcomed the partnership with SPINIFEX PROTECT PTY LTD which would benefit the tourism industry.
“We are pleased to be making an essential item for tourism businesses available at a discounted rate through this partnership,” Mr Hall said.
“The donation received by Tourism Council WA will contribute to our promotion of Accredited Tourism Businesses to the intrastate market.”
SPINIFEX BREWING CO Managing Director and proud Yamatji man, Michael Little, stated that he is immensely proud of his team and the potential that this Corporate Partnership can raise many tens of thousands of dollars to assist in the tourism industry recovery.
