PRESS RELEASE: TECHNOLOGY NEWS – SavageApe Games Press Release – Sydney has a new mobile gaming studio and social messenger app about to launch and take on Silicon Valley’s powerhouses.

SavageApe Games let the monkey loose

SYDNEY, Australia, Monday 18th March 2019 – So the rumours are true, SavageApe Games have let the monkey loose, and those bigger apes in the mobile-games jungle need to watch their back! SavageApe Games is up and running, and boy are they hungry.

Launched in June 2018 by co-founders Joseph Nohra, James Lattouf and Tom Biordi, SavageApe Games compliments the trios soon to be released social messenger application “ChatChing” and its unique game-changing chat and earn function where users collect ChingCoins daily just for chatting on the network.

The Sydney based mobile gaming studio has just released the first two of five highly anticipated titles coming in Q2 2019, RocketRise and Blackjack Club.

RocketRise is a casual dodge and protect game that sees Astro the Astronaut travel through space, which the studio’s first casino game, Blackjack Club, is a traditional, smooth, easy to enjoy Las Vegas blackjack rules, player vs dealer casino, style game with inbuilt daily rewards.

Based in Parramatta, Sydney, opposite the iconic Rosehill Racecourse that has seen the mighty Might and Power and Winx thoroughbreds take victory, SavageApe chose not to set up in Sydney’s up and coming Silicone Valley (Redfern and Surry Hills) or Melbourne’s city fringe studios. Instead, the team established themselves in Sydney’s Western suburbs where they were quick to recruit a talented team with extensive experience in Unity game development, storyline development and character conceptual design.

“Setting up in Western Sydney was a natural choice for us. We’re originally from the west, and there is so much emerging talent coming out of this area. With colleges and universities only a train stop away, we found that if we could give the next generation of talent the opportunity to work on games they love, in a location right next to home, that would give our new studio an advantage over the established studios in Sydney’s east,” said CEO, Joseph Nohra.

What’s unique about SavageApe is that it is unlike traditional technology startups. Discussing their evolution, CEO and Co-Founder Joseph Nohra had this to say:

“So, were in the app business now… Here’s how it all came to be: ChatChing was launched two years ago. The original idea was coined back in 2013, but we didn’t think that we had the technology back then to bring it to life. Fast forward to 2017 and the digital currency movement
was taking flight, we met our CTO in the most unexpected way, and with his insight, we soon saw that, through digital currency, we could bring ChatChing to life.

“We soon started testing and working on our business development plan and came up with something so unique — we could make chatting better (ChatChing’s mantra) — that we couldn’t turn our back on it. It was a lightbulb moment. We looked at each other, and said ‘how cool would it be if users could play games, unlock levels, characters and skins with ChingCoins earned from ChatChing’s chat and earn rewards feature?’ The next day we began recruiting, three weeks later we started coding RocketRise.

“Being in the mobile app business isn’t easy, and we knew the challenges ahead. At the end of the day neither James, Tom or I are engineers, but what we did have is years of experience in project management, business startups and, most importantly, product shipping. Tom has built a chain of successful retail business and promoted events that have brought in thousands of people every night. James was a National Sales Manager for one of Australia’s largest food and beverage companies, and I had been in product, business development and acquisitions for nearly 15 years.

“The thing that we are most proud of with SavageApe is the internal culture that has developed naturally. Creativity is at the core of what we do. After all, we’re a gaming studio. Our combined business experience brings three core essentials together that makes it possible for us to give it
a good old Aussie crack. We’re an Australian gaming studio that has developed a portfolio of games that integrates with a platform that we believe will be a pretty hot social messenger app in 2019, and will be in the hands of users any day now. Our team has been working around the
clock, adapting fast and testing new ideas, now we’re finally ready to let the monkey loose.”

SavageApe Games continues to develop new gaming titles, with many more due in Q2 2019.

They are proud to be Australian owned and operated.
