Dust off your party hat Sydney! Luna Park Sydney turns 85 years young today and celebrated with one big birthday bash.

Today Luna Park was joined by some of its biggest fans ahead of opening the gates, to light the candles and cut a birthday cake, as well as loads of entertainment and birthday festivities to celebrate throughout the day!

Since 1935, Luna Park has been a source of shared laughter across many generations of Sydneysiders and visitors alike. Just like the rides, its history is one of twists and turns, and ups and downs; but always bringing smiles to the harbour. Luna Park invites Aussies to take a trip down memory lane, and meander through a nostalgic time capsule with their digital 85-year tribute, online here.

School Holiday and birthday celebration tickets will be available to purchase at LunaParkSydney.com for a flat rate of $50 per guest, which provides guests access to Unlimited Rides for a specific date and time.

Luna Park Sydney continues to take a highly precautionary approach to managing the spread of COVID-19 and visitors can expect enhanced cleaning measures along with specific entry requirements for all staff and visitors including temperature and identity checks. In addition, it is essential that Guests understand that by entering Luna Park Sydney, they agree they are well and not experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms as outlined in their Health and Safety Declaration Form.
