The Australian Centre for Photography and Teds World of Imagining A Creative Learning Partnership

The Australian Centre for Photography (ACP) and Teds World of Imaging (TWI) have announced a learning partnership inspired by a shared passionate interest in photography. General Manager of TWI Nic Peasley and ACP Director and CEO Cherie McNair announced the partnership today.

ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP
The ACP will use their expertise in developing and delivering photographic courses to present a selection of their leading courses in the newly rejuvenated Teds World of Imaging store in Pitt Street. The revitalisation of the Teds World of Imaging store will not only add to the vibrancy of the photography scene in Sydney, it will actively promote and attract new students and lovers of photography.

Cherie McNair, Director and CEO of the Australian Centre for Photography says; ”There are some fantastic synergies between TWI and the ACP. Both organisations came into being during the early 1970’s, at a time where photographers started being seen as artists and the medium was legitimised within the art world.”

TWI and the ACP share a commitment to photographic education and engagement, capacity building in the sector and remaining connected to the technological developments of the photographic industry.

Teds World of Imaging will support the ACP by providing a learning centre to deliver a selection of its inspiring workshop programs. The ACP is the leading voice in Australian Photography and has over 40 years’ experience in delivering education and training programs to deliver professional contemporary practice and community skills development.

The ACP will continue its successful workshop partnership with the National Art School and continues to operate its gallery space within the City of Sydney Creative Spaces program while continuing the search for a new facility.
