What are the options?
With Get The Word Out we make it easy with two choices. You can choose to send just one press release or sign up to a 30 day subscription to send up to 5 media releases every 30 days.
Do you guarantee publication of my press release?
We don’t. Because our database contains genuine journalists, media contacts and publications we don’t guarantee your story will be picked up. To give your news the best chance of being published, please review our media release templates and tips page.
When will you send the press release?
The Get The Word out team are based in Brisbane, Australia. We send press releases from 9am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. Brisbane is on Australian Eastern Standard time and we don’t have daylight savings. If you have an embargo, please be sure to let us know and clearly mark your press release with the details.
Can I roll over my unused press releases on a subscription?
Unused press releases do not roll over to the next 30 days.
Are there any extra charges and hidden fees?
There are no extra charges. Our pricing is very simple. There are no hidden costs:
- No extra charges for sending logos.
- No extra charges for adding an image or embedding a video.
- No extra charges for sending to more than one geo area.
- No extra charges for selecting multiple categories.
- No extra charge for the SEO version of your press release.
How to cancel your account (Membership clients only)
Please log in and then go to Account in the top menu and select Subscriptions from the dropdown.
Click on Cancel
and you shold be able to see the popup to confirm.
What if I don’t want to send any releases in a 30 day period?
If you are on a subscription but plan to send no releases in the upcoming 30 days, please contact us to suspend your subscription.
How do I pay for Get The Word Out?
Get The Word Out accept all major credit and charge cards. You’ll either be charged just once (for a single send) or your card will be charged every 30 days if you choose a subscription.
Can I stop or cancel at anytime?
Yes and it’s easy. Log into your account to cancel your 30 day subscription and you won’t be charged again. There are no minimum commitments or contracts after the initial charge.
What if something goes wrong?
We know mistakes happen. We send your press release exactly as it is written so please proof carefully (we recommend at least two people review your press release). If you notice a mistake, please be sure to contact us as soon as possible. Please note that once your media release has been sent, we cannot retract it.
How to change payment details (Membership clients only)
Please log in and then go to Account in the top menu and select Subscriptions from the dropdown.
Click on Change Plan
and you shold be able to see the popup:
Then click Select Plan. Scroll to the bottom of the page and it should allow you to enter the card details and click Sign up
