Australia’s favourite small business awards organisation
Small businesses made big gains in 2012, with six sole traders named as finalists in the Australian Excellence Awards Top 40. Over 1,200 Australian small business owners and their managers earned a nomination in the 2012 Awards Program, with 183 winners in the Service Excellence, Women in Business, Employer of Choice and People’s Choice Awards announced throughout the year. “Despite an increase in online sales, these awards demonstrate that consumer satisfaction and confidence in Australian small businesses is growing in some sectors, which is fantastic,†says Awards Centre Manager, Anthony Christian. “And it’s not only our award nominees and winners who have benefited from this result, but their trade suppliers, employees, and ultimately their customers, too.†“Business diversity has also been strong, and showed us that more so than in previous years, business leaders are keenly interested in understanding and responding to their markets better by actively engaging with their best resource – their customers,†adds Anthony. The Australian Excellence Awards Centre has also listened and responded to small business owners with the introduction of a re-structured program to give businesses even more chances of success, lowering entry fees and eliminating all licence fees. Unlike traditional award programs, our 2013 nominees are now eligible for 12 monthly awards with just a single entry fee of $48 (includes GST). “From sole traders to company directors to franchisees, Australian business now has the perfect opportunity to be recognised and rewarded.†Unlike other awards, the Australian Excellence Awards are not affiliated with or sponsored by any other organisation, which makes for a fairer and more transparent evaluation process. “It’s always been important to us that we stay independent,†says Anthony. “And that these awards are accessible to everyone, not just those aligned with corporate partners. We’ve seen a family-owned real estate agent in Far North Queensland, to a hair salon in rural Victoria, to a vet in Perth become award winners.†Learn more about the 2013 Awards Program, our nominees and winners, or register online at: www.AustralianExcellenceAwards.com  ### For more information about the Awards Centre, please contact: |
