PRESS RELEASE: Curveball wins Gold for Best Wellbeing Podcast at the Australian Podcast Awards.
Curveball, The Club you didn’t want to be part of – has been awarded Gold for Best Wellbeing Podcast in the Australian Podcast Awards on Saturday night.
Beth Armstrong (host/co-producer) and Luke Mynott of Unison Sound (sound engineer/co-producer) are delighted and indebted to the women who have bravely shared their powerful stories.
Beth delves into taboo subjects as she perceptively interviews three women together, who have all experienced a similar curveball. The key here is anonymity, allowing the women to speak with raw honesty. These late-night chats over wine invariably include a touch of black comedy and offer up advice to new members of the ‘club’. Essentially, it’s secret women’s business laid bare. It provides fascinating insight while providing tools to help others who might face such cataclysmic events and will likely make you laugh and cry.
The first series has been a resounding success with an outpouring of support from listeners and now the much-appreciated recognition from the Australian Podcast Awards has validated the importance of these conversations.
Series two is underway with the next episode ready to drop in December. Stay tuned for a mesmerising foray into Infertility and Life After IVF.
Beth Armstrong is a director of film and television, writer, and live storyteller. She is also a single mum of two girls. Beth has teamed up with the very talented, award-winning sound design studios Unison Sound – to produce this next-level quality podcast series.
