My name is Anita Campbell, and I am a General Practitioner living and working in Perth.

My book is a cautionary tale of a ‘Lady Doctor’, who found herself stuck in a fairy tale of pain, disenchantment, and abandonment. Forced to dive down the ‘rabbit hole’ to explore modern-day medicine, and why it consistently challenged, and discounted me.

Out of desperation, and afraid of insanity, I also explored the effects of trauma, epigenetics, toxins, environment, diet and lifestyle on physical and emotional health, and how modern-day medicine has a significant impact on well-being in general.
Was I imagining my pain?

Was I, crazy like Alice?
Or, as mad, as a Hatter?

Nope I had a battery in my mouth… and it nearly killed me!
