Overseas students are returning to Australia in strong numbers, as borders continue to open.

The winding back of international border closures and covid restrictions is resulting in overseas students returning to Australia in strong numbers.

Educational institutions that used the covid period to restructure, grow their course offerings, and broaden their geographic bases are now reaping the earliest substantive rewards for their efforts.

iCollege is one such beneficiary delivering record revenues and a strengthened balance sheet supported by its focus on domestic students and international student recovery.

“We’re delighted to see significant increases in student enquiry rates and in enrolments”, said CEO, Glenn Elith.

”New international student enrolments are doubling month-on-month now that borders are open”, he said.

Releasing its half-yearly report to the ASX, iCollege (ASX: ICT) reported: –

– completed integration of its RedHill Education acquisition,
– record revenues, and
– a significantly strengthened balance sheet.

“It is pleasing’” Elith said, “that iCollege has emerged from the various covid challenges a significantly larger and stronger organisation, very well positioned to capture and benefit from returning international students and other emerging opportunities”.
