PRESS RELEASE: Senia Lawyers And The Salvation Army Assisting People In Free Will Preparation.

On 10 March 2022, Senia Lawyers and the Salvation Army Australia have commemorated ‘Community Wills Day’ at the ‘Northside Community Centre in Geelong’. These two amazing organisations share a similar vision in providing hope to those who need it and have joined forces to offer people peace of mind in getting their wills organised.
Senia Lawyers’ Gagandeep Mirankot (Lawyer) and Mandeep Singh (Legal Secretary) were at the centre on the day to help people organise their own wills on ‘Community Wills Day.’ The staff from Senia Lawyers took a day out from the office to help support their clients with any legal questions or advice. After speaking to one of the clients, she stated, Senia Lawyers were very kind in helping me update my will, effortlessly.”
“We’re always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need, and pro bono cases are one of the ways we can support and give back to our community. As a team, we’ve pledged to donate 35 hours per lawyer, per year to support these people, and we love doing it.” Mr Mirankot from Senia Lawyers said.
Senia Lawyers’ idea of not charging any legal fees for helping these people was certainly a big hit on the day. The legal fees that we would’ve charged have been directly donated to the Salvation Army ‘Nutritional Foods Market’ by the clients themselves. This market supports many disadvantaged people from the Northern suburbs who require food vouchers ($50-$70) to help provide nutritional food for themselves and their families.
