PRESS RELEASE: Record price of $82,000 bid for Simmental Bull

Simmental cattle have been bred in Australia for 50 years, but the breed made a new historical record in Western Australia today when Bandeeka Stud sold one of their Simmental bulls – Bandeeka Rusty LGKPR035 for $82,000 at the WALSA and Farm Weekly Supreme Bull Sale in Brunswick, WA.
Valued for their muscular, fine lined build, adaptable and docile nature, Bandeeka Rusty LGKPR035 embodied these traits with the Alan Evans Selling Complex describing him as “a lovely all-round bull with a superb temperament”.
Nutrien Ag Solutions – Western Australian Livestock Manager – Leon Giglia, continued the sentiments in his comment that Bandeeka Rusty LGKPR035 had “impeccable breeding and perfect data” and was “made very well all round”.
Bandeeka Stud is in Boyanup, Western Australia. A family run farm owned by Tony and Loreen Kitchen. They’ve been breeding and showing Simmental cattle for decades now. Their exceptional cattle are well known throughout Australia and Loreen has had a lifetime of experience in the trade.
Tom Marshall, a veteran of the industry and a big supporter of the breed, was the winning bidder for Bandeeka Rusty LGKPR035. Tom has been purchasing from the Kitchen family for years as their cattle consistently deliver strong genetics.
