Former Senator Derryn Hinch, leader of Derryn Hinch’s Justice Party, responds to the latest Herald Sun video revelations about his former employee and self-confessed braggard Glenn Druery.

‘ I am shocked by some of Druery’s boastful self-aggrandising in recorded conversations with other minor party people. Modesty has never been one of Druery’s strong suits. His demeaning of me as “ just a journalist” is hurtful and simply wrong.

‘He was the office Chief of Staff. He had nothing at all to do with legislation. I had a lawyer on staff to analyse my proposed notices of motion and bill amendments. In fact, both PMs Turnbull and Morrison did not let Druery attend our agenda discussions.

‘I spent three years attending every Senate session, chaired several Senate public inquiries around the country on vital issues –like ICAC and trans-vaginal mesh. And personally got a ban on convicted paedophiles travelling overseas on child rape holidays.

‘ I will not have all that demeaned by some delusional bullshit artist full of his own importance.’

4. Categorisation

You agree to categorise content only under those categories that are relevant to the content. In general, we advise attempts to categorise content under more than five categories will lead to that content being reviewed and possibly removed. 5. Linking and fair-use

You agree not to add more than one link to a website in any press release. Over-linking solely for Search Engine Optimisation purposes is not allowed and is advised against due to penalties that may be associated with over-linking. And our gremlins will hunt down over-linking and delete such transgressions.
