PRESS RELEASE: Over $2 million of taxpayer funds were saved in 3 months through the work of an NDIS-registered provider in 2022 and 2023 looks even better, with a program that could be rolled out across Australia; saving tens or millions of dollars, while providing much-needed support to people with a disability currently in hospital.

Brunswick, Melbourne 4/01/2023

Premier Disability Care Services saved the State Health and Federal NDIS departments over $2 million through cost-effective services delivery and a partnered funding model to ensure patients transition from hospital to home. In 2023, we will be increasing our ability to provide NDIS supports through our transition and pathway-to-home programs, from our 22-apartment facility in Brunswick on the edge of Melbourne’s CBD.

Premier Disability Care Services is a registered NDIS service provider that specialises in supported independent living that helps people with disabilities live as independently as possible in their own homes or apartments. Having spent 2022 building partnerships with health providers in Melbourne’s northern suburbs to support the transition of medically fit people living with a disability, out of the hospital and into their own homes, we are proud to announce the opening of our new 22-bed facility in Brunswick, Melbourne.

This state-of-the-art facility offers Supported Independent Living (SIL) options for individuals with disabilities, allowing them to live as independently as possible while receiving the necessary support and assistance. In addition to SIL, our facility also offers affordable disability accommodation options, making it possible for individuals with disabilities to live in a supportive and inclusive environment.

We are also excited to announce our Transitional Care programs in partnership with Northern Health and St Vincent’s Hospital will continue to be rolled out to support individuals with disabilities in transitioning from hospital to home, ensuring that they have the necessary support and resources to successfully adapt to their new living environment.

At Premier Disability Care Services, we are committed to providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities. Our new 22-bed facility in Brunswick is just one example of this commitment, and we are excited to continue serving the Melbourne community.

About Premier Disability Care Services

View Website

Premier Disability Care Services began providing disability accommodation in 2019 out of several small facilities in Melbourne's inner northern suburbs. Our mission was to provide a quality level of disability support in an independent setting that met the needs of people living with a disability. We soon realised that the group living model was not one that suited everybody and, in some situations, made living independently very uncomfortable. So we set out to find a solution. The solution came in the form of single and shared apartments that provided both independence and on-hand support. With our infrastructure partnership in place, our Disability Accommodation model was born.
