PRESS RELEASE: Australia’s Number One Nutrition Science Researcher – 3 Years In A Row
Professor Elizabeth Isenring (Dr Liz), an Advanced Accredited Practising Dietitian, has just been named Australia’s No.1 Nutrition Science Researcher by The Australian for the third year in a row. This prestigious and exciting honour coincides with Dr Liz’s newest appointment as Director of Engagement and Partnerships at the Research Institute for Future Health.
At the Gold Coast-based Research Institute for Future Health, Dr Liz applies her two decades of experience in leading and supporting health and nutrition science globally to develop new opportunities for life changing research.
With a special passion for improving outcomes for those impacted by cancer and chronic disease, Dr Liz’s appointment highlights the research and communication expertise that the Research Institute for Future Health brings to the international health and wellbeing stage.
With the Research Institute for Future Health CEO Felicity Cohen, Dr Liz was recently invited to Dubai and Abu Dhabi in June 2023 by Australian and Queensland governments.
Their itinerary included meetings with the Departments of Public Health and the Health Authority, as well as multiple public and private health care facilities, to discuss opportunities for the Research Institute for Future Health’s childhood health lifestyle program, Project GRIT.
“I feel this is a full circle moment for me, bringing my 20+ years of scientific and academic training to transform lives from the inside out via personalised wellness and nutrition research. I’m excited about discovering and implementing the benefits of life saving health research into practice NOW – not the typical 17 years it takes from publication to practice. I’m very proud to see Australia leading the world in nutrition and wellbeing research and the benefits it brings to everyday people,” says Dr Liz.
