PRESS RELEASE: Skateboarding at Paris shows Australia what they’ve been missing

With 8 competitors in skateboarding in Paris having competed in or been developed through Australia’s domestic league, the Rumble.
Australia and it’s media have gotten a snapshot of something they’ve turned a blind eye to for decades, skateboarding.
The real shock for punters and viewers was the packed and sold out skateboarding events, outperforming the Matildas, Hockey & some of the swimming events.
Australia will get it’s own taste of skateboarding coming up in August with the Ramped up Whitsundays Event.
Skateboarding is about to have its own epic adventure as it descends onto Airlie beach for a 2 day Bowl and Vert Festival.
In true traditions of extreme sports, with adventure being the key element of its culture, Airlie Beach is an iconic destination which will provide nothing but an iconic experience to the public as we’ve seen in Paris.
The competitions will be surrounded by live music, markets & a ton of activations to show the world that Australia means business in skateboarding, as we’ve seen in the last week.
