The 20th annual Flinders Ranges—A Brush with Art event is now up and running, entering its second week, and continues to be a beacon of creativity and cultural celebration in the region. Held from 14 September to 14 October 2024, this year’s event spans 12 locations. It offers an incredible lineup of 31 exhibitions, workshops, and events, making it one of the area’s most diverse and engaging celebrations of art.

Over the past two decades, A Brush with Art has become a significant fixture in the Flinders and Southern Flinders Ranges, attracting art enthusiasts from South Australia, interstate and overseas. The event provides a platform for a diverse group of artists, many from regional, rural, and remote areas, enabling them to share their work and connect with a larger audience. This year, the milestone event is proving to be an exceptional showcase of artistic talent and community spirit.

• Art Exhibitions: Featuring solo and group exhibits at 12 Flinders and Southern Flinders Ranges locations.
• Workshops and Events: Offering 31 unique experiences, including hands-on workshops where attendees can develop and learn new artistic skills from experienced artists.
• Desert Stories Cocktail Party – A Brush with Art 20-year Celebration: Friday, 11 October, from 6:30 p.m. at the Prairie Hotel. Attendees are invited to this memorable evening, highlighting the journey and achievements of the artists and the event over the past two decades. Tickets are $95.
