PRESS RELEASE: $8.7 Million Settlement Reached in Exactech Class Action – Pending Court Approval

11 June 2025

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

GMP Law announces that a proposed settlement has been reached in the Exactech Class Action for $8.7 million, inclusive of legal costs (Settlement Sum). The settlement, which represents a full and final resolution of claims brought on behalf of group members, is made without admission of liability and remains subject to approval by the Federal Court of Australia.

The Court will consider whether the proposed settlement is fair and reasonable at a Settlement Approval Hearing listed before Justice Jackman at 10:15 am on 22 July 2025.

In accordance with Court orders made on 30 May 2025, a Settlement and Opt Out Notice has been distributed to all group members by 10 June 2025, and will remain publicly available from 10 June to 10 July 2025 via GMP Law’s website and social media platforms. The Notice outlines group members’ rights to support, object to, or opt out of the settlement.

Group members are strongly encouraged to carefully review the Notice to understand their rights and options.
