PRESS RELEASE: Interview Opportunity – From Kid to Contender: Jordan Returns to Nationals

Jordan Bassett‑Smith returns to the Australian Indoor Skydiving Championships with a story that has come full circle. Jordan’s journey is more than just a return to competition; it’s an Australian story of perseverance, growth and the rise of non-traditional sports in Australia.

The Ryde local first flew at the Championships as a nine-year-old. In 2016, he claimed a bronze medal in Junior Freestyle. By 2019, he was part of an All Abilities team flying in 2-Way Dynamic and 4-Way FS Blast alongside Pete Pellegrini, a below-the-knee amputee.

Now 19, Jordan returns in 2025 as a seasoned competitor, a powerful symbol of personal commitment and the sport’s growing momentum.

Interviews with Jordan are available on request. Media passes to the Championships are also available.
