Dr Glenn & Partners Medical Imaging, part of Carlisle Health Group, is preparing for a major milestone in community health with the official launch of The Magnetic Movement this Wednesday, 10 September, at its newly refurbished clinic in Kogarah.

The event will be attended by the Hon. Mayor Elise Borg of Georges River Council, Kent Stroud, Executive Manager of City Futures, and other dignitaries, industry leaders, and community representatives.

At the heart of the launch is a newly installed, fully licensed 3T MRI machine, enabled by the 1 July Medicare MRI licence reforms. This advanced technology not only provides sharper, faster diagnostic imaging, but also makes bulk-billed MRI services more widely accessible for local families, athletes, and workers.

“With one Australian hospitalised every four minutes for a head injury, timely access to MRI has never been more important,” said Dr Derek Glenn, Radiologist Dr Glenn & Partners. “We are proud to make advanced imaging accessible for our community, because early diagnosis is key to healthier outcomes.”

The Magnetic Movement is more than an upgrade, it’s a commitment to the future of healthcare in the Georges River region. The initiative will drive awareness around head, knee, and musculoskeletal injuries in sport, while also supporting GPs, specialists, and allied health providers under increasing strain.

“This is about shining a light on radiology,” added Dr Derek Glenn. “Too often, imaging operates in the background. With this campaign and our facility upgrades, we are bringing it to the forefront, ensuring patients and clinicians know what’s possible, and that care is accessible when it’s needed most.”

The launch marks the next step for Carlisle Health Group in strengthening local healthcare, with future plans to expand the model across its wider network of clinics to benefit communities across New South Wales and Australia.
