A Melbourne Success Story: That Sound Game Sponsors New TV Show Who’s Speaking Please?
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Melbourne, Australia – 22 September 2025

From family gatherings to Friday game nights, That Sound Game has taken the world by storm, selling over 400,000 copies globally and bringing laughter to households across continents. Now, the Melbourne-born party game is turning its attention back home, proudly announcing its sponsorship of Who’s Speaking Please? a brand-new locally produced television series premiering this October.

About That Sound Game – Created by Melbourne duo Natalie Delaney-John and Cam Jasson, That Sound Game is a fast-paced, interactive and very noisy board game where players use sounds and movements to get their team to guess and gain points. There are games like Charades, Pictionary and Taboo, but a sound-based party game feels like it should have already existed. Which is why That Sound Game has seen so much success, gaining over 330 million views on social media and being crowned 2024 ‘Game of the Year’ by the Australian Toy Association.

About Who’s Speaking Please? – Hosted by Guy Cunningham and co-hosted by Amanda Buckley, James Mclean and Melinda Thiele, Who’s Speaking Please? throws together seasoned improv artists, comedians, voice actors, and actors in teams of four to face off in games that celebrate human intelligence in all its imperfect brilliance, mistakes, leaps, and surprises included. Filmed in front of a live studio audience, the
eight-episode season will air on C31 Melbourne, C44 Adelaide, and CTV+, with the first episode expected October 24th and running weekly through Christmas.
A highlight of the season will be the second episode filmed live at PAX Melbourne in The GenerOZity Theatre, live-streamed globally and raising funds for the Black Dog Institute.

The talent lineup is stacked, featuring award-winning voice actors such as Rhiannon Moushall (One Voice Awards Best Female Voice Artist 2025), Aimee Smith (250+ game credits), Jay Anthony Franke (California Dreams, Deus Ex), and Cecilia Ramsdale (Secretary of AAVA). Improv and comedy talent includes Steph Crothers (The Bachelor), Lliam Amour (Thank God You’re Here), Jimmy Eaton (Lego Masters), and Louisa Fitzhardinge (Edinburgh Fringe).
As primary sponsor, That Sound Game sees the partnership as a natural extension of its mission.
“At its heart, our game has always been about connection and getting people to laugh, move, and create memories together,” said co-creator Cam Jasson. “Who’s Speaking Please? captures that same spirit, and we’re proud to support a Melbourne-made show that champions creativity and community.”
