PRESS RELEASE: Enriching Lives Foundation Gold Coast Allocates $100,000 to Support Local High Schools and Families

Gold Coast, QLD – The Enriching Lives Foundation Gold Coast is proud to announce the allocation of $100,000 in funding to support five local high schools and provide vital financial relief to more than 100 families facing rising education costs.

With cost-of-living pressures continuing to impact households across the region, this initiative is designed to ease the burden of essential school-related expenses including uniforms, textbooks, technology, subject levies, and extracurricular participation fees.

The funding will be distributed across the following high schools:

Coombabah State High School
Nerang State High School
Miami State High School
Robina State High School
Merrimac State High School

Through close collaboration with school wellbeing teams and leadership staff, the Foundation has ensured that assistance will be directed to families most in need, helping students remain engaged, confident, and fully equipped to participate in their education.

Founder of Enriching Lives Foundation, Renee Brescianini, said the initiative reflects the organisation’s unwavering commitment to strengthening the local community, knowing that the funds raised go directly to the school accounts of children identified as at risk by the professional team in each school. These students would not be able to complete their education due to financial pressures brought on by often tragic circumstances.

“Education should never be out of reach because of financial hardship. By partnering with our local high schools, we are not only supporting students with immediate needs, but investing in their confidence, wellbeing, and future opportunities. With your help we could grow the program to reach more schools, help more families and give hope to many young people across the Gold Coast.”

School representatives have welcomed the funding, noting that financial pressures can often prevent students from fully participating in school life. The support will help remove barriers, increase attendance and engagement, and foster a stronger sense of belonging within the school community.

This latest allocation forms part of the Foundation’s broader mission to enrich lives across the Gold Coast by supporting youth, families, and community wellbeing initiatives.

Our foundational project is Sponsor A Student, collaborating and partnering with individuals, families, businesses, communities and other altruistic entities, to assist individual students needing financial support. Education is a fundamental human right for all children. The reasons why children and youth do not attend school are multiple and complex, and our aim is to eliminate as far as possible, the financial constraints which, of themselves, may be barriers to school attendance, but also frequently contribute to other multi-faceted impediments.
