PRESS RELEASE: AUSTRALIAN SONGWRITER J.D. MO’OREA RELEASES “GUIDE ME HOME”, AN AI-PRODUCED ANTHEM ABOUT FINDING HOPE WHEN YOU’VE LOST YOUR WAY

Gold Coast, Australia | September 2026
A song born from one of the darkest chapters of his life is already attracting attention from audiences and playlist curators.
Australian songwriter J.D. Mo’orea has released “Guide Me Home”, an emotional pop-rock anthem about searching for direction, hope and something to believe in when life has taken an unexpected turn.
Written by Mo’orea and produced using artificial intelligence, the song was born during one of the most difficult periods of his life, following the death of his partner, Breeana Robinson, and the extraordinary legal and personal events that followed.
Mo’orea says the song ultimately became a reflection on the idea that even when we cannot see where life is taking us, there may still be a path forward.
“I wanted to write something for people who have found themselves completely lost,” says Mo’orea. “Not necessarily lost physically, but lost in their lives. Sometimes you don’t need to know where you’re going. You just need enough hope to take the next step.”
The accompanying music video follows that idea visually, as a lone traveller moves through empty roads, abandoned spaces and moments of uncertainty in outback America before encountering an older, almost God-like figure who ultimately walks beside him.
The result is deliberately open to interpretation.
While the song contains spiritual and Christian influences, Mo’orea describes its message as “inclusive rather than religious”.
EARLY RESPONSE
“Guide Me Home” has generated strong early interest since its release, with the official YouTube music video attracting more than 22,000 views in its first week. The song is also gaining traction among playlist curators, with early submissions generating a significant response and multiple curators already sharing the track.
The release follows a broader period of digital growth for Mo’orea. Over the past six months, music videos across his body of work have accumulated more than two million views and streams on YouTube.
THE AI QUESTION
Mo’orea is also embracing one of the most controversial developments in modern music: artificial intelligence. Rather than hiding the technology behind the production, he openly identifies “Guide Me Home” as an AI-produced recording.
He argues that the conversation surrounding AI music should distinguish between AI-generated content and human songwriting.
“I’m a songwriter first,” says Mo’orea. “The technology is a production tool. The words, the story and the reason I wrote the song came from me.”
But Mo’orea believes the debate also raises a more fundamental question:
“What is more important? The way a song is created, or how it makes you feel?”
With the music industry debating how AI should be credited, regulated and represented on streaming platforms, Mo’orea hopes his releases will contribute to that conversation while demonstrating what an independent songwriter can create outside the traditional system.
WHAT COMES NEXT
“Guide Me Home” is the first of three singles scheduled for release as part of Mo’orea’s current music campaign, with “Win or Lose” and “Start Again” following later in the year.
The releases form part of a broader creative project encompassing music, film and storytelling.
