PRESS RELEASE: A NEW ERA FOR BUNBURY FRINGE AS 2027 FESTIVAL DATES DROP

Bunbury Fringe has today announced key details for its upcoming season, including the 2027 festival
dates, the appointment of a new Festival Director, and the launch of its annual Friends of Fringe membership program.

The 2027 Bunbury Fringe Festival will run from 22–30 January 2027, returning to Bicentennial Square
as its central hub.

The eight‑day program will again feature comedy, cabaret, circus, music, theatre, visual arts and a range of satellite events across the Bunbury Geographe region. Local venues will also host Fringe Buddy events, expanding the festival footprint beyond the main site.

Following the 10-year anniversary festival in 2026, Bunbury Fringe has appointed Kerry Shaw as Festival Director for 2027. Shaw is known for her work across Western Australia in artistic direction, event delivery and program development, with a strong focus on regional arts engagement.

Her appointment marks a new phase for the festival as it continues to grow its presence and strengthen
opportunities for artists and audiences in the South West.

The festival has also launched its 2027 Friends of Fringe membership program, offering members access
to a series of benefits throughout the season. Membership is priced at $45 and includes:

> Invitation to the 2027 Program Launch event in November
> 10% discount on selected Fringe shows
> Four complimentary beverages during the festival
> Priority seating at Fringe venues

Members will also be entered into the draw for the Pink Pass, a double pass granting access to four full days of Fringe shows. The Pink Pass is awarded annually, with one winner selected for the 2027 season.

With new leadership, expanded programming and continued regional engagement, Bunbury Fringe 2027 is set to deliver a diverse and energetic summer festival.
