STREET SCIENCE WINS GOLD AND SILVER STEVIE AWARDS IN 2021 ASIA-PACIFIC
STEVIE AWARDS
The events of 2020 proved that science is more important than ever to our global community
as we navigate the ongoing uncertainties of an unprecedented health crisis. Guided by their
mission to inspire the next generation of scientists, Australia’s leading STEM education
providers Street Science achieved an extraordinary business pivot in 2020 to adapt to “the
new normal” so that they could continue to deliver seriously fun science education to
Australian kids.
In recognition of this, Street Science has been awarded not one, but two Stevie Awards,
winning a Gold Stevie Award for Excellence in Innovation in Consumer Products & Service
Industries for organisations with up to 100 employees, and a Silver Stevie Award in the
Innovation Achievement in Science & Technology category.
From live-streaming virtual science classroom experiences to reach over 20,000 people in 6
different countries every week, to producing a 45-minute documentary celebrating National
Science Week 2020, Street Science’s work to make education accessible for all students
during the pandemic left an indelible mark on Australia’s wider education landscape.
Street Science was selected from more than 900 nominations received for Stevie Awards
from organisations across the Asia-Pacific region this year. Gold, Silver and Bronze Stevie
Award winners were determined by the average scores of more than 100 executives around
the world acting as judges in March and April.
The Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards are the only business awards to recognise innovation in the
workplace of all 29 nations of the Asia-Pacific region. The Stevie Awards are widely
considered to be the world’s premier business awards, conferring recognition for
achievement in programs such as The International Business Awards® for 19 years.
Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word for “crowned”, the winners will be celebrated
during a virtual (online) awards ceremony on Wednesday, 14 July. View the list of
