PRESS RELEASE: Australians reach limit on transgender ideology

Over 5,000 Australians have signed a Declaration drawing a line in the sand on transgender ideology and inclusion.
The signatories to the Declaration of Biological Truth Australia include politicians, professors, doctors, teachers, parents, grandparents, members of the LGBT community and thousands of concerned citizens.
Foremost in the minds of these signatories is concern for gender dysphoric children being prescribed puberty blockers and hormones. This concern stems from research finding that 85% of gender dysphoric children forget their confusion if left to complete adolescence.
Unlike other countries, Australia still prescribes drugs and cross-sex hormones to gender dysphoric children. Queensland however has recently halted new prescriptions for gender confused youth.
Secondary to this medical safeguarding concern is the issue of men who identify as women playing in women’s and girl’s sport. This concern is not based in transphobia or disregard for transgender people but largely based in the Australian tradition of fairness and safety in sport. It’s also based on biological facts.
Research shows that men who undertake gender transitioning are still faster and stronger than women, even if they’ve been through surgery and drug treatment.
Phil Dye, the Founder of the Australian Declaration of Biological Truth and an ex-biology educator at UNSW, states the line that’s been drawn by the 5,000 signatories is certainly not out of hate or transphobia, but from biological reality.
“This line in the sand is not due to any anti-trans feeling. It’s about safety and evidence based treatment for gender confused kids. It’s about fairness in female sports. Even ‘inclusion’ must have limits based on the biological facts taught in every university science course.
“We’d support more funding for psychological treatment of gender confused kids. We’d also support separate trans-leagues enabling participation for the transgender community.” Dye said.
The 5,000 signatures have been checked for authenticity using a double opt-in system. They will be presented to government, faith leaders and business organisations over the coming months.
