We’re bugging you to help save our planet.
Most people don’t know that Australia’s first insect protein farm was founded over 15 years ago by Skye Blackburn, a food scientist and entomologist with a passion for sustainable foods.
Circle Harvest is Australia’s largest and most advanced insect protein farm and food manufacturing facility, and supplies foods containing invisible insect proteins as a key nutritional ingredient to supermarkets around Australia, as well as over 1000 school canteens.
Think about snacking on a bag of corn chips with more protein than an egg, or devouring some delicious chocolate pancakes for breakfast that contain half of your daily iron intake, adding insect proteins to your diet doesn’t have to be scary. We convert the foods that you already love, into nutrient dense, sustainable version.
Over the past 12 months we have seen a huge increase in consumers wanting to include insect proteins as part of their diets, and with the worlds population set to grow beyond what our current food system can handle, providing diversification within our food system has become even more important.
We’re currently expanding our farm and food manufacturing facility, to keep up with demand for our products.
We love educating people about the need for food security, and why we need to do something now to ensure our future food needs are met, and run cooking demos, school workshops etc.
Our customers can now become our shareholders, as well are raising money with Birchal to help fund our rapid growth.
The Next Big Thing in Food is Little….are you ready to hope on board?
