PRESS RELEASE: Battery Stop recharged with Rapid Test & Track partnership
MELBOURNE: Locally owned and operated Campbellfield business Battery Stop has employed the services of Rapid Test & Track, an innovative rapid antigen test compliance system founded this year. This partnership will equip Battery Stop with Rapid Test & Track’s full service which monitors and screens employees for COVID-19.
Rapid Test & Track’s program requires Battery Stop staff members to undergo a rapid antigen test within a certain timeline before they show up to work. The staff members then scan the test’s QR code and upload it onto the app.
Battery Stop management oversees the results on this test using the Rapid Test & Track management dashboard and can make roster changes based on the results, preventing the risk of any employees coming into work with COVID-19.
The companion app enables staff members to connect to a telehealth professional to receive instructions on how to correctly administer the rapid antigen tests. This minimises the risk of inaccurate self-tests.
Battery Stop has operated in Campbellfield for over 20 years and, like many Victorian small businesses, has battled through restrictions and lockdowns since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020.
Director of Battery Stop, Jason Tomkins, said that utilising this platform is important for them in an uncertain business environment where health and safety is a risk.
“Business continuity is an important goal for us, and Rapid Test & Track has become an important piece of that puzzle as we continue to navigate our way through the pandemic.
“We have a tight-knit team and a great relationship with the local community, so we have an obligation to make sure that we draw a line in the sand when it comes to preventing the spread of the virus. We all feel much more confident going about our day knowing that we are taking the best precautions to promote safety.”
