A highly commended finalist for the Cannabiz Award for Industry Innovation, Biortica Agrimed was a winner in several categories.

Tom Varga, CEO was recognised as the Cannabiz Business Leader of the Year.

“This is our Team’s award not mine. I really don’t know what to say. We just have the greatest Team in the medicinal cannabis industry, and they all deserve to get this award.”

“I’d also like to congratulate Tasmanian Botanics for their Cultivator, Manufacturer and Company of the Year wins, and indeed, all other winners. I’m delighted that Biortica is held in the company of other such high-quality organisations.” said Tom.

Kathleen Ward, General Manager of Green Farmers, a wholly owned subsidiary, was awarded as the Best Industry Newcomer.

“It’s a great industry. A growing industry. I’m delighted to be a part of Australia’s newest natural plant based medicinal industry,” she said. “I’m excited to be on the Biortica Agrimed journey.”

Biortica’s merger partner, BOD BioSciences, took out the R&D Project of the Year for its clinical trials of BOD BioAbsorb 27.5mg gel capsule.

“Our commendation for Industry Innovation, further confirms Biortica’s desire to build a collaborative industry; an industry where we each help each other grow. The entire industry benefits. Patients benefit,” he said.

“I’d like to also quickly reference our recently announced collaboration agreement with Treehouse Distribution as a great example of industry collaboration,” Tom said.

Displaying meteoric growth, Biortica Agrimed has expanded rapidly to become Australia’s fastest growing, and largest grower of B2B medicinal cannabis.

“At Biortica we’re doing our bit, and plan to be doing a lot more,” said Tom.
