In contrast, Quinn says many smaller businesses approach video as a trial investment.
“We often see businesses wanting to produce a single low-budget video and ‘see how it goes,’” he said. “But positioning doesn’t work like that. Brand perception is built through consistency and clarity, not isolated content.”
Quinn notes that the accessibility of high-end equipment has blurred the distinction between production quality and strategic execution.
“There are talented freelancers with impressive gear offering extremely low rates due to competition,” he said. “But equipment alone doesn’t determine brand outcomes. What differentiates stronger campaigns is structured thinking and sustained investment.”
As more businesses compete for attention in industries such as construction, property and professional services, Quinn believes education around positioning will become increasingly important. “Companies that treat video as a strategic, evergreen asset rather than a marketing experiment are the ones we consistently see gaining traction,” he said. “It’s not about spending recklessly, it’s about aligning expectations with a video production company and laying out a long-term vision.”
