Capital Partners aim for Sustainability in Private Ownership
WA’s largest privately-owned wealth management firm Capital Partners Private Wealth has taken another step towards securing its long-term business sustainability by welcoming Damon Sugden as a new Principal and shareholder of the group.
Sugden joins seven other Generation 2 shareholders who own a combined 38 per cent of the firm.
The Generation 2 Strategy is centred around the firm’s intentions to remain sustainable for its clients, its team, and the community by remaining privately owned by the people who care most – its team members.
‘I’m pleased with our active progress towards the Capital Partners Generation 2 Strategy and I congratulate Damon on becoming a Principal, said David Andrew, CEO and Founder of Capital Partners. ‘The Generation 2 Strategy signals our active intention to do the right thing and be sustainable as a business – we owe it to our clients and our community to make sure the business is sustainable across generations.’
The most recent ownership transfer was made possible by the retirement of co-founder Chris King after 22 years.
‘Some years ago, Chris signalled his intention to change direction. His contribution to our firm is unrivalled and we look forward to his continued involvement as a Director.’
In 2016, Capital Partners introduced a formal Pathway to Principal program and has grown the Generation 2 Principal group to nine in the years following.
Capital Partners provides wealth management advice based on a holistic, Wealth with Purpose model that aims to help people achieve greater freedom in their lives.
