PRESS RELEASE: Collective action to secure Australia’s health at the 2023 Value-Based Health Care Congress
The health outcomes that matter to people and communities will be the focus of the 2023 Value Based Health Care Congress, being held in Brisbane, on the 26th and 27th October.
Together with keynote speaker, Dr Sally Lewis, National Clinical Director for Value Based Healthcare, NHS Wales and hosted by the Australia Healthcare and Hospitals Association’s (AHHA) Australian Centre for Value Based Health Care, the event will see over 200 health system and clinician leaders, executives, senior managers, consumers, policy makers and researchers come together to discuss the latest evidence and showcase the best of value based health care in Australia.
‘Health service leaders, together with our health systems stewards, are critical to driving the collective action needed to ensure that our health system is able to meet the changing needs of all Australians, says AHHA Chief Executive Kylie Woolcock.
‘This Congress provides an opportunity to rethink the way care is provided in Australia and secure Australia’s healthcare system sustainability.
The two day event will also explore the potential in emerging policies and examine the realities of implementing change across our services through conversations and facilitated panel discussions.
‘It’s a unique program that aims to prioritise how we can best understand the way people and communities experience care, says Ms Woolcock.
‘Drawing on the global experience, health leaders will assess how we shift from innovation to implementation in order to drive better health outcomes.
Sessions include:
Understanding the care pathway
The support you need when driving change
Unsing data to prioritise, design and drive improvements
Outcomes for people and our planet
