PRESS RELEASE: Curatif Tastes Victory (Again!)
2022 is already proving to be a golden year for Curatif. Australia’s reigning creator of canned cocktails has been showered with gold medals – plus a cluster of other honours – and it’s not even halfway through the year.
Today, the SIP Awards have revealed that Curatif has received a glittering haul of 13 honours. Highlights include a Double Gold for the Archie Rose Espresso Martini and a Platinum for the Tequila Tromba Tommy’s Margarita. Joining these are an Innovation Award for the groundbreaking Amaretto Sour (made in collaboration with Bar Bambi) and five golds across the range as well as five Consumers’ Choice Awards; the latter reflecting quality and consistency in the cocktails year on year. SIP wins always feel extra significant as it’s real-life drinkers who are the judges.
The renowned San Francisco World Spirits Competition saw Curatif take home the top prize of Double Gold for both their Espresso Martini and Tommy’s Margarita. Their Amaretto Sour scored gold, while their Piña Colada received an emphatic welcome to the world; it also scored gold from the world-class SFWSC judges although the cocktail hasn’t even been released yet.
In a battle of the bottle shops, the Tommy’s Margarita came out on top. This fridge door essential came out the winner of both the Ready to Drink category at Vintage Cellars’ ‘Best Of’ Awards and the Dan Murphy’s inaugural ‘Decoded’ Spirit Awards.
The World Drink Awards recently tipped Curatif as the global go-to premix whether you have a taste for something old school or new. The label’s Trader Vic’s Mai Tai (a collab with Jacoby’s Tiki Bar) was named ‘World’s Best Classic Cocktail’ and their Plantation Rum Pineapple Daiquiri was dubbed the ‘Worlds Best Contemporary Cocktail’.
“We’re viewing these wins as a confirmation that we continue to be best in class,” says Curatif’s Matt Sanger. “While we continuously strive to put out the best cocktails we possibly can, it’s always a welcome surprise to pick up accolades like these. Although at this rate, we’re going to have to invest in a bigger trophy cabinet!”
