PRESS RELEASE: FIRST POUR – AUSTRALIA’S NEWEST GOLD PRODUCER

Great Divide Mining Ltd (ASX: GDM) is proud to announce the successful first pour of gold from its recommissioned Challenger Gold Mine near Adelong, New South Wales, marking the debut of Australia’s newest gold producer.
This major milestone comes less than two years since the company’s launch and ASX listing.
The Challenger Mine site and processing plant operates using an environmentally progressive gold extraction process based entirely on gravity separation and recycled water, without the use of any chemicals.
“We are absolutely delighted and proud, not just for Great Divide Mining, but for the Adelong community and the district,” said Justin Haines, CEO of GDM.
“To be achieving gold recovery using only gravity and water speaks volumes about what this team is capable of,” he went on, “and proves that it is commercially entirely feasible to balance environmental stewardship with sustainable commercial outcomes.”
The gold pour follows months of intensive work recommissioning the historic mine, which was last operated over a decade.
“This is a proud moment for everyone involved – from investors and contractors to the local businesses and families who’ve supported us,” Mr Haines said. “To launch, list, and pour gold in under two years is a testament to the capability and commitment of the Great Divide Mining and Challenger Mine teams.”
“Now I wonder what else NSW might need a couple of Queenslanders to fix?” quips Haines.
