PRESS RELEASE: Fun for Families at the FAMILY3K in Bendigo This Weekend

This Saturday, Athletics Victoria will launch their FAMILY3K event at St Anne’s Winery, Bendigo.

For families with children 5-11 years old, FAMILY3K encourages people to get moving again after two years of pandemic disruption. From 1 pm to 2 pm at St Anne’s Winery, Bendigo, this Saturday, participants can take advantage of the scenic course, with each receiving a medal to celebrate their success.
St. Anne’s winery will have a fully licensed bar operating in The Big Shed, with live music from duo Harlequin from 12 pm to 3 pm. With an array of food available and complimentary wine tasting, St Anne’s cellar door will operate for the event.

“It’s been a difficult couple of years for everyone, especially for kids who have had so much disruption around sport, school and social settings,” said Dan Wilkins, General Manager of Emerging Markets and Communications at Athletics Victoria.
“We’re very excited to offer a family product that’s non-competitive and aims to be accomplished at whatever pace participants feel like on the day,” Wilkins said.

Entry for kids aged 5-11 is just $20, and parents or guardians $5, with registration available online only at www.athsvic.org.au/family3k.
